Ten private days around Taiwan: Taipei and Jiufen, the Pacific coast of Hualien, the East Rift Valley and Taitung, the tropical south at Kenting, Kaohsiung and Tainan, then up into Alishan and Sun Moon Lake before returning to Taipei. A specialist guide, your own chauffeur and hand-picked hotels throughout.
Taiwan is small enough to circle in ten days and varied enough that every day feels different. This route follows the coast clockwise, then climbs into the mountains at the heart of the island.
From Taipei the express train runs down the northeast coast to Hualien, where the Pacific meets marble cliffs. Your chauffeur then drives the East Rift Valley, a landscape of rice fields, Indigenous villages and hot springs, before crossing to Kenting’s coral coast at the southern tip.
Turning north, you explore Kaohsiung’s harbour and Tainan’s temples, climb to Alishan for the sea of clouds and finish with a night on Sun Moon Lake before the high-speed rail back to Taipei.
Private chauffeur throughout + express train / high-speed rail
